The problem

Most ecommerce books are quietly wrong.

Not because anyone is careless, but because ecommerce data doesn't arrive the way accounting needs it. A few of the usual culprits:

01

Shopify payouts are net of fees

What hits the bank is sales minus fees, refunds, and adjustments. Book the deposit as revenue and you understate sales and hide what you're really paying to get paid.

02

Fees aren't a flat percentage

Merchant fees combine a fixed per-transaction amount with a percentage of the sale, so you can't simply "back into" gross revenue. It takes a proper gross-up method.

03

Complexity piles up as you grow

Multiple entities, multiple currencies, 3PL charges, inventory and COGS, and sales tax nexus across states. Each one is a place for errors to hide.

04

Closes take weeks

When the books close three weeks after month-end, the numbers are history by the time you see them, and decisions get made on gut feel.

05

Historical messes compound

Unreconciled accounts and miscoded transactions carry forward every month until nobody trusts the P&L, and tax season or fundraising gets painful.

06

No line of sight to unit economics

Without clean margins by channel and product, it's hard to know which ads, SKUs, and marketplaces actually make money.

Why a fast close pays for itself

Your ad budget can't wait until the 20th.

Ecommerce brands spend heavily on ads. To know which campaigns are working and which to cut, you need last month's true numbers (real revenue, fees, COGS, and margin) right away. The later the close, the less time your decisions have to pay off.

Cut losers sooner

Spot unprofitable campaigns and SKUs in the first days of the month, not the last.

Scale winners with confidence

Put more budget behind what's working, based on true margins rather than platform dashboards.

Plan on real numbers

Inventory buys, cash, and forecasts built on a complete, CPA-reviewed close.

CPA review on every close

AI does the work. A CPA checks every close.

AI is fast and cheap, but it can be confidently wrong. So nothing reaches you until I've reviewed it. You get the cost of automation with the accountability of a Philippine CPA.

AI handles

  • Transaction categorization & coding
  • Bank, card & payout reconciliations
  • Shopify payout gross-up calculations
  • First-pass flux analysis & draft reports

I review & do the final check

  • Every reconciliation tied out
  • Revenue, fees & COGS sanity-checked
  • Unusual swings investigated
  • Final financials approved before delivery
  1. 1
    AI prepares

Automations pull your Shopify, payment, and bank data and do the first pass of the close.

  2. 2
    CPA reviews

I check reconciliations, balances, and variances line by line, and fix what the automation got wrong.

  3. 3
    Double-check

A final review against prior months and your KPIs, so the numbers make business sense, not just math sense.

  4. 4
    Final check & delivery

You get reviewed financials and a short summary of what changed and why.

Data security

Your data is safe.

Your books are your business. Here's how I handle them.

01

Confidential, always

Your client data stays confidential. It's used only to do your books and is never shared with anyone outside the engagement.

02

Read-only where possible

I ask for read-only access to your bank, Shopify, and payment accounts wherever the platform allows it, and only the access the work needs.

03

Never used to train AI

No client data is used to train AI models. AI tools help me work faster; your data doesn't become anyone's training set.

About

Hi, I'm your CPA.

Scaling up businesses is what I love most. I like juggling several brands at once and helping each one grow, because watching a client's numbers get better month after month never gets old.

I'm a Philippine CPA with 10+ years in accounting and finance, including 5+ years leading finance functions across different businesses and industries.

My strength is stepping into finance functions that are broken, slow, or underbuilt and turning them into reliable, scalable operations: cleaning up historical issues, rebuilding processes, automating manual work, and delivering numbers leadership can trust.

I use AI to do the heavy lifting in a fraction of the time, which keeps my work affordable and my fees fixed. But AI doesn't do the final check on your books. I do. A fast, accurate, complete close is a competitive advantage: timely numbers lead to better decisions today and more reliable forecasts tomorrow.
